Linda's Bio:

"'For I know the plans I have for you,' says the Lord. 'They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me in earnest, you will find me when you seek me. I will be found by you,' says the Lord.' Jeremiah 29:11-14a.

"I was later in life coming to know Jesus. At the age of 47 I began looking and seeking for God, and as said in Jeremiah, if you look for me in earnest you will find me. That is exactly what happened. I had always gone to church and believed in God but had no idea that it was possible to have a personal relationship with Jesus. Today, 11 years later, I am in Mozambique fulfilling Gods plan for my life with a future and a hope.

"I had been a nurse for over 32 years, yet in 2004 I felt led to go to bible school in Tyler, Texas and then on to a 'supernatural training centre' in 2006. It was there that the sense that I would live in Africa (which I have had since the age of 6) started to take shape.

"In the fall of 2006 I retired from nursing, sold my house and belongings, and went to Pemba, Mozambique with Iris Ministries to attend their Holy Given Mission School. I have been there ever since. Finally stepping out into that plan, I am living the future and hope that God has promised.

"My home church family in Peterborough, Ontario has been so supportive. My two grown children, Brandon and Melanie, have released me in love and have been incredibly affirming of God’s call and direction in my life.

"Now in Pemba, I am a public health nurse and have participated in the building of 25 latrines as well as a new septic system, contributing towards better health for our children, missionaries and visitors. Today I participate in teams going out to villages to teach about health issues and to help the people learn to become and to stay healthy, and lay hands on the sick and see them recover. It is totally awesome!!

"In Psalm 32:8 the Lord says, 'I will Guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.'

"This bio is really a testimony that it is never to late to step out and walk in the plans God has for your life and for the lives of the people you will serve."
