“The start of this year has had many challenges, but has been very good.
“On the building front, we are now close to finishing our 5th and 6th children’s homes. We have a new building for the primary school going up as well that will house the preschool class and the library and multi-purpose room. This building has presented us with some design challenges but it is good for the guys working on them. They have really shown a lot of growth over the 4 years that I have been here and I decided to break the box and go for a different shape. Once done the building will really set the school off well. We have also been doing some upgrading at our feeding/conference site. A new stage is going in as well as some other outbuildings coming down and major landscaping happening. We have had more shortages of bricks this year, but they are now in plentiful supply and we have hired some extra builders to help us get back on track. We have some deadlines to meet for the school building as the new school year approaches fast. Would you for wisdom and strength for the builders and me as we go forward with all of the projects?
“This year we welcomed our second baby, Falista. She came to us at just 6 weeks of age and she was very small. Unfortunately her time here was not long. She was with about 3 week before she moved on to see the Lord. Chimwemwe, the baby that we got last year is doing well though, we worked all last year on walking, and now he is motoring around on his own all over. Now I am trying to get him to talk, and he has come very close to repeating a few of the kid’s names now! We pray that he will continue to grow and develop well.
“Thank you all for your continued support through my time here. May you feel the presence of the Lord today!”
