"How can I begin to explain all that God is doing in me, in the children, and in all of our team here in Bangula??!! It is all so exciting!!!
"We are coming into a new season here - the Holy Spirit is on the move! We've been teaching the children (in our home and also the village children) about coming into the presence of the Lord, being still, having our spiritual ears open and listening to God's voice. It is awesome to see the Holy Spirit come upon the children, reveal the heart of God to them and impart His words to them. After these times of ‘soaking' we share what was seen and heard. Many of our children are experiencing God as never before.
"When we take our Iris children out to local villages on ministry outreaches, the children there are also being touched in very special ways. Our children pray and lay hands on the village children, on the sick and the elderly, and God hears their prayers.
"One outreach while sitting in the in the back of the flatbed truck singing scripture songs, we had a guide with us who was interpreting these songs to us ‘white' folks. This led to a conversation with him, which led to a prayer of salvation for this man. Hallelujah!!! The Holy Spirit has definitely anointed these children and I'm excited to see their gifting and destinies unfolding.
"I enjoy prayer walking through the villages as well as these ministry outreaches with the children. These times cause my own heart to come more fully alive. I love it!
"School is evolving. I am still involved teaching English and overseeing the teachers. We're praying for a headmaster. We now have a school building that serves preschoolers and our standard grades 1 through 4.
"Mentoring our own Iris children takes on many forms and is a joy to me as we grow in friendship and trust. Praying at night by their beds is still a very special ‘God' time and brings such blessings to my heart.
"We are excited to have opened two new children's homes. As we begin to fill these homes now, we rejoice that we have found house parents to live in each home. Please pray with us, as many adjustments must be made as these young broken lives arrive and learn to be part of our family.
"Our centre is a place of healing, both physically and spiritually, but this is not limited to our centre. In the villages, at the trading centre, and then as we go out from here, please pray with us for continued rivers of healing to flood this land."
