February 2007 Julie Davis Update

"The past months have flown by very quickly. Wow!!! Here is a little account of what has been going on in Dondo. November was very busy, as I was in charge of hospitality as we prepared for a large outreach conference. Many visitors and guest speakers came to help us, for which we were so grateful. Approximately 3,500 were at the meetings. It was great and the Holy Spirit really fell on us, especially on the Bible school students on graduation day. It was really precious.

"The students were gone for the month of December so things slowed considerably. I was pleased to then have time to focus on building relationships with our boys (we only have boys at our center at this time) and to get to know my new Mozambican family. I love them so very much!

"We regularly go to the local village with the pastors, pray for the sick, visit with and encourage people in their trust in God. One day I prayed for a very ill woman who was very tormented by demons. I looked into her eyes and told her that everything would be okay, and to keep her eyes fixed on Jesus. I told her that I didn't believe in the power of all that was bad in her life and confidently spoke that she would be completely restored the next day. The following day I returned to see that she was walking, able to eat and filled with strength and energy. Praise the Lord!! She has become a sweet friend to me. I have had opportunity to preach in a few churches. It is so good to see the church lifted up as God reveals himself to his children and moves in their hearts.

"A highlight in January was going with our team to the province of Tete, to distribute food and to evangelize. We fed over 300 children on this trip. In the evenings we went into places where the gospel has never been preached, and three churches were planted as a result. I desire to regularly visit these churches both to encourage and teach. I am trusting the Lord to provide a truck that is bigger then what is currently here. Picture the back of a Mazda pick up truck filled with sound equipment, 44 bags each filled with 25 kg of rice, 5 personal bags, tents and 5 adult people in the back! Don't ask me how we did it - it was quite funny.

"Another weekend outreach in the Muanza district resulted in another three churches being established. God is so faithful! Lots of mud to travel over, but we only got stuck once and that was on our way home. Out in the middle of the bush, with only monkeys as companions we decided to set up the sound system and praise God there while we worked our way out. God is so faithful in every adventure!!

"Thank you all for your faithful prayers and support."

Completely His.
