October 2006 Sue Silva Update

"I still feel like the new kid on the block, having been in Bangula for just over 2 months. It has been a huge learning curve for me, but a great one because God is faithful and equipping me for His plans and purposes. God is teaching me reliance on His strength, that He is dependable, trustworthy and ever present. He is so very real and powerful and overwhelming in His love to me. It makes me hungry for more of my Precious Saviour.

"I have been loving the 22 children that live on site, delighting in their playfulness. I have been teaching school to a group of children. This proves to be a challenge because of the language barrier. Please pray for supernatural acquiring of Chichewa. We had a few weeks break in August and did a VBS style program, which the children loved. There is ongoing boys' and girls' club programming for the surrounding village children which I assist with, as well as helping in children’s church.

"Opportunities to speak in church have come up. Please pray for me in this regard. It’s a huge step out of my comfort zone, yet I get excited at what God is accomplishing through me. Please pray an overflow of joy in serving, that I will be open and willing to do whatever and wherever God directs."
