The Ewerts have been in Canada temporarily, due to the illness and subsequent passing of Sandra's mother. During this time Sandra has been undergoing medical treatment herself and is scheduled for surgery at the beginning of March.

“While in Canada, we've been privileged to speak in many churches and with numerous individuals, about Mozambique. We've also attended ministry courses and furthered our acquisition of Portuguese. We will return to Mozambique in mid-March and look forward to resuming our work at the Bible school with the pastors and leaders. We are planning to open a prayer/soaking centre in our home where there can be ongoing prayer for the Zimpeto centre and for Iris Ministries as a whole, and would appreciate prayer for this endeavor.

“Our daughter, Kara-Lee, loved her time at the Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship School of Ministry and plans to work until the fall, when she will begin studies in nursing. She looks forward to her return to Mozambique in the future.”
